Fight the Fungus – Grey leaf Spot
What is Grey Leaf Spot? A fungal disease that causes greyish or brown lesions on grass leaves, leading to turf thinning if untreated. It typically begins as tiny brown lesions on leaves and stems which rapidly enlarge into round or oblong spots. As the disease progresses, these lesions can expand across most of the leaf surface and take on a bluish-grey appearance, especially during warm, humid periods.
Grey Leaf Spot frequently becomes more severe in newly established turf and areas with high nitrogen levels, where plants are more vulnerable. It affects a wide range of turf species but is especially problematic in Buffalo grass.
